Miura Hits the Heights Again with Tech Track 100 Recognition
Don’t believe all the doom and gloom Brexit headlines you might be reading at the moment: Britain’s still open for business and a great place to start and run a business. At Miura Systems we’ve been quietly doing just that for the past few years, with a mission to offer beautifully simple, secure and flexible payment and POS hardware.
So we’re delighted that all this hard work has just been recognised after we were placed 17th on the much-lauded Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 – a long-running league table ranking Britain’s 100 private tech firms with the fastest growing sales over the past three years.
Transforming payments
It’s been said before, but SMEs really are the lifeblood of the UK economy, accounting for over 99% of private enterprises in the country and contributing close to £2 trillion in annual turnover. But they’re often not given the recognition they deserve or access to the tools needed to help them succeed. That’s what we set out to do in providing innovative payments and POS hardware for our partners to disrupt their markets, and for SMEs around the world to drive sales and transform the payment experience for their customers.
It’s difficult to choose a highlight for us over the past year but the launch of our innovative new POSzle platform would probably be the pick. It’s a modular tablet Point of Sale (POS) bundle which supports integrated payments to offer low cost, powerful POS out-of-the-box to dynamic retail and hospitality environments. Most importantly, though, it allows Tier 4-sized firms the chance to benefit from the same powerful, feature-rich, and beautifully designed tech as their larger counterparts. And being modular it means they can add extra peripherals as they grow.
Onwards and upwards
As a Tech Track 100-recognised company, Miura Systems follows in the footsteps of some pretty impressive names: property site Zoopla and cybersecurity firm Sophos are now both public companies valued at a cool £1 billion, for example. We might not be as well-known as the likes of Shazam, Revoo and Skyscanner, but this listing will provide a great opportunity to increase our recognition in the market. It also comes on the back of Miura’s number three ranking in the inaugural Sunday Times BT Business SME Export Track 100 last year, as a firm with one of the fastest growing overseas sales of any SME in the country. And our recognition in the same list this year.
Three-quarters of the world’s leading mPOS providers already use own-branded devices from Miura. And as we build out our channel with more international partnerships, expect our POS and mobile payments platforms to reach even further across the globe and into the hands of businesses everywhere keen to embrace the payments revolution.
