Miura in APAC: Taking the mPOS to smartPOS Message Out to Asia
At Miura Systems we’ve always been keen to take the mobile payments message to markets beyond the UK. It’s part of the reason why we were ranked number three in the UK in the inaugural Sunday Times BT Business SME Export Track 100, with one of the fastest growing overseas sales of any SME in the country. But we don’t believe in resting on our laurels, so it’s off to Singapore this week to the Cards & Payments Asia show to spread the word about mPOS to smartPOS to this audience.
It’s sure to be another great opportunity to meet customers, partners and prospects, and explain just how our range of slick, affordable devices can help drive revenue and transform the payments experience for customers.
The cashless journey
Asia Pacific is a tough nut to crack if you’re in the payments business. It’s a complex array of countries, most of which are very different to one another from a cultural, jurisdictional and market perspective. All of which are working to various timelines with specific market requirements.
With such a varied landscape, this is certainly no region for a one-size-fits-all approach. But for those firms that understand the diverse markets here and can offer innovative products that meet the need of local partners and businesses, there’s huge growth potential. After all, APAC is the most populous region in the world.
Making strides
We’ve already been making big strides in Asia Pacific with a number of partners delivering mPOS deployments. This journey continues as Miura’s innovative range of devices empowers our partners to move into different vertical market segments utilising SDKs to create bundled smartPOS solutions.
And our efforts in Japan received a fantastic boost recently when the M010 was certified for use with the FeliCa contactless card standard – the de facto standard for pre-paid cards.
Now it’s time for Miura to build on that fantastic start, and what better place to get our name out there than Cards & Payments Asia – the leading conference and exhibition for the Asian payments ecosystem where we are co-exhibiting with our partner Mint Payments We’ll join over 400 speakers at the show to offer our own unique take on where we think the industry is headed. Our presentation will focus on the evolution of mPOS to SmartPOS – a retail environment where fixed terminals are replaced or enhanced with tablets linked to mPOS devices like our M010 and M007. It’s all about flexibility, speed, ease-of-use and driving sales by enhancing the customer experience and cutting queues at the tills.
We can’t wait to show off our leading Shuttle, M007, M010 + Printer Sled and Fast Charge Rack, and POSzle – a new modular tablet Point of Sale (POS) bundle fit for any dynamic retail or hospitality business. If you’re one of the 600+ attendees, we’d love you to stop by and say hello. And of course, join us for our presentation with Mint Payments. You won’t be disappointed: Date: 20 April, 2016 Time: 11:40-12:20 Theatre: E-Commerce Show On-Floor Seminar Theatre.
